Usually the first few messages I get (sometimes the only ones I get all day) are from scammers wanting my phone number. Im closing in on 1000 5 star ratings right now I'm at 960 something, I was at 800 reviews (not sales, sales are over 2000, most people don't leave reviews) after 3 years, these last 160 or so have been so much effort to get those sales now.
Save yourself time and money and just buy what you want new from a store or on line store that you know is a real retail site! So many fake sites are popping up that you cannot trust even though they are showing all the usual signs of legitimate sales sites but after some investigation you'll find that they are just ripping people off then disappearing! Be glad your messages have no response, that's money you just saved, be happy, uninstall the app and move on. It seems to have simply lost all control now, they had a good thing going and then reduced the app to an unusable place to get ripped off. Ultimately leading up to your account being ghosted without your knowledge. Phones and tablets will all be blocked from use or have hidden problems for sure, batteries won't charge EMIE will be blacklisted, sim slots won't work, wifi won't work or any number of things can have problems.įake money, liars, cheats, stolen property and broken stuff along with people trying to sell your phone number and email addresses are common parts of what makes up offer up and then others that sell there will have your items removed from selling by reporting them for any number of unfounded reasons. They will arrive late on purpose to make the sale later so you will be more pressed for time and might be running late for you're next appointment.
On top of it all, they will make the sale rushed and make it so you have no chance to check things out closely or do any real tests to battery devices. What's worse is when sellers come walking up to you, they are making sure you can't even see their vehicle (if they even own one) further conceiling their identity.

Plus they simply will never mark the items as sold to you so you can't even give them a bad rating. Making sure you have to meet up away from their home and in a parking lot where you aren't able to do any testing or know where they live if you should have a problem.
I find that the lag is such a problem that I simply just give up trying to buy anything, it seems that the only sellers who do reply back if you do find anything that is priced reasonably are those sellers that are there selling things that don't work and are taking advantage of offer ups suggested ways to sell. Buying is just as bad if not impossible to find anything you are looking for, between the huge delay in the response (lag) of buttons and the app closing constantly due to those taps not registering until they all come through at once or the sellers never knowing your messages have even been sent, there's a very slim chance you'll be able to make a purchase. It's to a point now that it's become a useless tool for selling anything.

I used to sell 1 to 5 items a day on offer up prior to the last version (which they forced me to install by stopping the old version from running) now I'm lucky to make 1 sale a week plus I spend more time now working with the app just for that 1 sale. Problem is, the app used to work perfectly on that aspect prior to the newest version so sellers are used to getting notifications and aren't used to having to constantly checking offer ups messages. It makes no difference when you send messages, the app simply does not work properly anymore, there's no notification when a message comes in so a seller has no idea you sent a message until they happen to look.
